Artist Statement

Faren's work explores resistance methods by people of color. Ever-intrigued by ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances; her work looks at how these characters operate through subversive means. This includes anti-Third Reich activists to North African boy soldiers. The inherent need for freedom and how it manifests as resistance is strung throughout all of her subject matter.
